Dr. Gary Daynes provost and vice president for academic affairs announced the first-ever Day of Scholarship at Barton College that will happen on Wednesday April 15, 2015.
Regular class schedules will be set aside for this event, and the campus community will take this day to “celebrate the process of research and creativity.” Many Barton College students and faculty will be able to present their research and findings with the campus community.
The sessions will begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day until about 5 p.m. The research sessions will take place in the Willis Hackney Library, in the Moye Science Hall, and in the Nixon Nursing Building.
There are many sessions and events scheduled throughout the entire day, and students are encouraged to attend at least one event. The campus will continue on a normal class schedule on Thursday April 16.
